There were huge celebrations for Tommy Downes and the CFMOTO UK team at the weekend after winning the 2021 No Limits Racing Standard Twins Championship at Cadwell Park, a fantastic achievement for the whole team! Tommy and the team have proved the quality, performance and reliability of the CFMOTO 650cc standard engine throughout the season, racking up 7 wins and 22 podiums over the seven championship rounds.
Tommy put in a sterling performance throughout all four races at Cadwell Park, with four 2nd place finishes providing exactly what he needed to take the overall championship win. The unfaltering performance of the CFMOTO 650cc standard twin race bike, which uses the same engine as the CFMOTO 650NK, 650MT and 650GT motorcycles, provided the consistently strong and dependable performance needed to win the championship.
For the final round of the championship 44Teeth’s Al Fagan joined the CFMOTO UK team to compete onboard the 700cc supertwin machine. Al immediately gelled with supertwin machine, which is still in the development stages, qualifying in 2nd position in the supertwin class. An excellent first race saw Al on the podium with 2nd place in class. An unfortunate technical issue in race 2 meant a DNF and unfortunately that was the end of the Al’s race weekend.
It’s been a hugely exciting season, working together with Tommy Downes and the 44Teeth team, make sure you keep your eyes peeled for the next video on the 44Teeth YouTube Channel.
